Christians in Recovery® (CIR)

Christians in Recovery® is a group of recovering Christians dedicated to mutual sharing of faith, strength and hope as we live each day in recovery. We work to regain and maintain balance and order in our lives through active discussion of the Bible, and experiences in our own recovery from abuse, family dysfunction, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships and/or addictions of alcohol, drugs, food, pornography, sexual addiction, etc.

Christina Downs’ Simply Balanced: Bible "Contradictions" Teach Balanced Living is an informative, uplifting and inspiring read that squares what some might see as biblical contradiction with the kind of balanced life that God wants us to live. Using Christ’s parables, the author shows us how God’s Word provides us with very clear answers, sometimes in quite surprising ways, on how to live, how to treat each other, how to slow down and how to stop worrying so much… all skills very much needed these days!
